Our Favourite New Building Products for 2020

Calgary, we wanted to bring a little sunshine to you by highlighting some of the new building products that will be available at Mountain View Building Materials this year! We’re happy that building and construction has been deemed an essential business across Calgary and Alberta, and that we can make life better during hard times, with home improvement projects. It’s important to remember that Calgary is a strong city and Alberta a strong province, and when we work hard and support one another, we can get through anything!

Now, more than ever, financing home projects up to $10K will come in handy, allowing you to build that new deck or pergola to enjoy your backyard as we look forward to a summer with lots of time spent at home. Our expert building team will walk you through your payment options, including low monthly payments, not paying for 6 months, and choosing the best materials for your budget – including taking advantage of big April sales.

Without further ado, here’s our roundup of 2020’s best building products from Mountain View – available to Calgary, Cochrane, Airdrie, Okotoks, Chestermere, and beyond…

Fiberon has made some major changes in the right direction for 2020! They have discontinued the entire Pro-Tect line in order to focus well-deserved attention on the Sanctuary line (clickable in the title above)  which we’ve been stocking at Mountain View for the last few years. This includes adding 2 new colors of Fiberon Sanctuary decking – Chai and Moringa – and bringing back the previously discontinued Espresso color. All 3 colors are really sharp with a nice two-tone streaking at a mid-level price point. We love the Sanctuary line because it contains 95% recycled content and its strong composite construction resists splintering, rotting, cracking, insects and decay.

Timbertech has also dropped their entire Tropical line and has introduced the incredibly appealing Reserve line. Timbertech Reserve has a nice assortment of 4 new colors with a new embossed grain pattern! The Timbertech Reserve line has four-sided protection, an easy-to-clean stain resistant surface, and capping made with 100% synthetic materials for total immunity against moisture. In our opinion this line has a better look with a better price-point than its predecessor.

Our customers LOVE Deckorators composite decking! Deckorators entire Voyage line is the only slip-resistant deck board on the market that’s made for Calgary’s climate, to limit expansion and contraction. In addition to being built tough for Albertans, it’s also accessible to everyone at a mid-tier price point.
This year Deckorator’s have upped their game, introducing an additional colour to the Voyage line called Khaya. Khaya is a surefire best-seller that Mountain View has it in stock! Enjoy the video highlighting the Voyage line, let us know if you have any questions.
