Fred Bucyk - Calgary Yard Team

As Yard Manager & Logistics Lead, Fred ensures that the Mountain View yard is stocked and organized effectively to serve our clients. He’s been in the industry since 2007 where he fine-tuned his skills over 13 years at Totem Building Supplies, before joining the Mountain View family in 2021.

Fred says “when working in a lumber yard, we all work as a team and help each other out as much as we can. If one of us fails, we all fails, and when one of us succeeds, we all succeed.” This embodies our broader outlook that we can enrich lives and communities with every successful project!

His discerning eye for quality and unwavering commitment to supporting the yard staff, sales team, and our customers make him a vital pillar of the Mountain View team. He lives by the Ricky Bobby-inspired mantra, "If you ain't first, you're last!” and is committed to delivering unmatched quality and service to create loyal and satisfied customers.

Fred’s favorite personal project he’s built is an entertainment center that elevated his console gaming and movie experiences to new heights. Beyond lumber and building, Fred enjoys playing paintball and video games, honing his guitar skills, and tinkering with his truck. His diverse taste in TV shows, from "Tacoma FD" to "Rick and Morty," mirrors his eclectic preferences, and he holds a special place for the classic movie "Top Gun."
